Breadwinners Named Among the UK’s Top 100 Social Enterprises – Again! 🎉

We are incredibly proud to share that Breadwinners has once again been recognised as one of the UK’s Top 100 social enterprises in the NatWest SE100 Social Business Awards 2026. 6 times in a row!

This recognition means so much to us—not just as a milestone for this year, but as part of a journey we’ve been on since 2020. Over the past six years, Breadwinners has consistently been recognised for our impact and commitment to continuously improving our work. Every year we look at how we can do things better for the young peeps on our programme. Being amongst the best of the UK Social Enterprise scene year after year is an incredible recognition of the strength, dedication, and passion of our Team and Trustees, and our entire community— young people, mentors, partners, and supporters past and present.

We’re especially proud that this recognition celebrates not only what we do, but how we do it—through a strong focus on impact, learning, and continuous improvement.

Our top tips on managing impact 💡
Over the years, we’ve learnt a few key lessons about how to measure and improve impact effectively:

  • Keep it simple – clear, accessible metrics help everyone understand and act on impact

  • Continuously improve – always revisit and refine what you do, even when it’s working

  • Put young people at the centre – peer-led feedback leads to more honest and meaningful insights

  • Support mentors to engage with impact tools – make reflection a valuable part of the journey

  • Be brave with change – setting limits and adapting programmes can unlock better outcomes

  • Progress over perfection – test, learn, and improve rather than waiting to get it “right” first time
