Join our passionate team, supported by expert trustees, with flexible working patterns, enhanced holidays, well-being personal allowance, personal coaching and development support!

  • We are looking for the next  Communications & Marketing Trustee to join our board and help lead the Comms strategy, developing the core team to continue growing our support for young refugees across the UK.


    Reporting to: Board of Trustees and Managing Director

    Remuneration: £0 (Pro-Bono, Volunteering role)

    Duration: 3 years, with a potential further 3-term extension as per the Board of Trustees Decision.

    Location: Remote mainly, London coworking Office Space in Brixton, Brighton coworking space.

    Commitment and Work Style: 3 years, approx 8 hrs per Quarter, 5 meetings per year. Majority online meetings with the annual F2F strategy day.

  • Are you an organized and enthusiastic communicator with a passion for supporting young refugees and asylum seekers? Breadwinners is looking for a pro bono Volunteer Coordinator to help us find and support the amazing people who power our work. This is a fantastic opportunity to be at the heart of our operations, building relationships and ensuring our volunteer mentors have a positive and impactful experience.

    Reporting to: Head of Programmes, London

    Remuneration: £0 (Pro-Bono, Volunteering role)

    Duration: 6 Months commitment, with a potential further extension.

    Location: London, several central areas and expanding reach. Coworking Office Space in Brixton. 

    Work Style: Approx 1 day per week (depending on the time of year), Both F2F and online meetings, preferably on Wednesdays.

Volunteering roles

  • Support one of the young people on our programmes!

    Programme outline: mentor one of our programme participants, working with them at our markets on the weekend and leading 1:1 mentoring sessions.

    Requirements: no previous mentoring experience is required as we provide training, resources and support. Just enthusiasm and positive energy!

    Recruitment: our programmes happen every two months so we are always looking for volunteers to join us.

  • Gain work experience, training and mentoring!

    Programme outline: work at one of our markets on the weekend, attend weekly employability training sessions and be supported by a mentor

    Duration: 2 months

    Participants: refugees and young people seeking asylum aged 16-24 years

    Recruitment: the programme runs every two months. We have a waiting list, so we recommend signing up now!

  • Get your first job in the UK as a Market Stall Manager!

    Programme outline: manage one of our bread markets every weekend, attend regular employability training sessions and have a mentor

    Duration: 6 months

    Participants: refugees looking for their first job in the UK

    Recruitment: positions open every few months, so we recommend applying now!
