The three key ingredients in our recipe

Our Managing Director Martin recently reflected on how his experience with On Purpose before joining Breadwinners shaped his vision when designing our employability programmes using three key ingredients: work experience, training, and mentoring.

“I learned a lot from my On Purpose experience through 2016/17, so much that I took the same ingredients of work experience, training, and mentoring/coaching to design programmes supporting refugees into work!

I went into it straight after finishing On Purpose, being a 1 man band for the first year, and as of now, we managed to make a real difference in the lives of over 270 young refugees and people seeking asylum. Plenty of “On Peeps” have volunteered as mentors to our programme participants, and let us know it's an incredible feeling to see the progress and success of the individuals they mentored.”

Become one of our three key ingredients today by volunteering as a mentor for one of young people! You can learn more about how to get involved in London or Brighton right here.
