Change Please: A partnership that keeps on giving

Our experienced Sales Representative Abdullah recently paid a visit to Change Please Site Manager Selena Radia at their newest location, Good Company in Regent’s Place, a collaborative space with Toast Ale featuring products from many social enterprises, including our pastries and cakes. Read up on Abdullah and Selena’s conversation about Breadwinners’ wholesale service below!

Abdullah: What do you like about working at Change Please?

Selena: So basically, before I started at Change Please, I didn't really know them. And then when I had an interview, I had another job lined up. And when I got the job, I just thought to myself, “No, I need to go for this company because of how they help people experiencing homelessness”. It's not just about homelessness, but the whole foundation of it is very interesting for me. And I feel like I'm a part of something bigger than just going to work in a restaurant, serving some people, and then going home, you know?

A: How would you rate our wholesale customer service from 1 to 5?

S: Five all the way!

A: Do you feel that our relationship has improved since you started placing orders with Breadwinners?

S: It was very easy to get in contact with you, for example, it has been quite nice talking to you today. Usually, if you speak to a manager in a company, they’re not as easy to get a hold of as it was with you.

A: What is your top seller from Breadwinners at your coffee shops?

S: I would say the brownie because we go through a lot of boxes of brownies. And everyone loves a brownie, don’t they? And my team has said that people also like the vegan cookies.

About our partner

Change Please is our largest wholesale partner, stocking our baked goods in their coffeeshops across London. Founded in 2015, Change Please is an award-winning social enterprise which aims to end homelessness through selling great tasting coffee and training people experiencing homelessness to be baristas - a model and mission we strongly support!

A: Would you recommend our wholesale service and our Proofers to other businesses?

For sure. I really like what you guys do. If I was opening my own business, I would use a company like yours as opposed to working with big corporations that only seek profit.

Thanks Selena for chatting to us! Don’t forget to go taste our delicious pastries at Change Please’s new location Good Company!

Do you own a restaurant, coffee shop or business and are looking for a socially-minded supplier of freshly baked goods? Get in touch with our wholesale service to find out how we can help you and how you can support young refugees.
